Senior Architect

The senior Architect shall be responsible for design and develop sustainable building services on numerous major projects, including commercial, residential—industrial, towers and mixed-use developments.

This position requires a Qualified Architect with extensive experience in design development, working drawings production, specification and approval requirement and procedure,

Preference will be given to a qualified candidate who can demonstrate experience in the following:

  1. Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar consultancy firm
  2. Architecture degree from a reputed university.
  3. Registered as “Grade A” Architect with MME & QCDD Certified.
  4. Excellent communication and fluent in Arabic and English (R,W,S)
  5. Previous experience in Qatar (Minimum 8 years).
  6. Registered and Licensed by GORD (GSAS)

Solid experience in project design, freehand sketching, coordination and working drawings production

  1. Extensive experience and leadership in design review & design coordination with other disciplines.
  2. Capability to manage time, team and production for several projects
  3. Capability to manage several projects concurrently.
  4. Computer skills in Revit, CAD, MS Office and other related software. BIM experience is a must (Minimum 8 years).

Job Description and Duties

The Project Manager shall represent CICO at site with full responsibility for managing all aspects of the project.  Capable to lead and handle meeting with CLIENT and Contractors and preparing MOM, The Project Manager will be responsible for one or several projects concurrently, his duties & responsibility are, but not limited to:

 

  1. Responsible for ensuring full safety at Site.

 

  1. Responsible to deliver the project as per the budget, schedule, design and specs.

 

  1. To check and log all deliveries into and out of site.

 

  1. To produce and maintain incoming and outgoing correspondence log including follow-up checks.

 

  1. To produce and maintain material submittal log with emphasis on long head items including follow-up checks.

 

  1. To produce and maintain shop drawings log in all disciplines including follow-up checks.

 

  1. To monitor and ensure adherence to LEED/GSAS plans and requirements where applicable.

 

  1. To prepare the required monthly report for review at CICO main office and issue to Client.

 

  1. To receive, review and comment upon the Contractor(s) Monthly Report, particularly with regards to “Items of Concern”.

 

  1. To maintain a daily site diary, itemizing labor return, materials delivered, activities performed and visitors, weather etc…

 

  1. Convene regular progress and technical meeting with Contractors and CICO site team.

 

  1. Maintain control over programming and planning, particularly coordination between Contractors and highlight areas of concern which require to be reported to CICO executive management.

 

  1. Maintain “look ahead” awareness of matters which can cause delays and report such matters to CICO executive management.

 

  1. Ensure that all documentation, correspondence etc. is circulated to all concerned particularly CICO main office to be copied with all documents.

 

  1. All contractual and financial matters to be reported to and dealt with by CICO main office.

Senior Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Administrator

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying with MMUP registration is a must
  • Additional professional qualification/membership from professional QS or Cost Engineering Institutes will be considered as added qualification
  • High proficiency in different types of Contracts and methods of measurements
  • Versatile user of Computer Applications in MS Office (with expertise in Excel), AutoCAD, Quantity Take-off, Cost Estimating and cost control etc.

 

Required Experience

  • Should have minimum 10 years’ experience in all facets of Pre and Post Contract project management related to low rise and high-rise Building design and construction. 
  • Should have prepared estimates for different phases project.
  • Should have performed measurements for different building architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing elements.
  • Should have experience in preparation of Tender documents and carry out tender administration and post tender evaluation with reporting. 
  • Should be good analyzer of different types of Contracts (FIDIC, ASHGHAL, Qatar General Conditions etc.) and adviser to the management about the acceptability of proposed agreements and concerns therein. Also advice the management about the potential risks to be looked into during operation of the Contract.
  • Should be able to prepare cost variations, evaluation reports, prepare consultants payment applications and follow-up payments with different Clients in accordance with the agreed Contracts.

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Proficiency in different types of Contracts and methods of measurements
  • Membership in professional QS institutes is desirable
  • Hands on experience in using Computer Applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, AutoCAD, Quantity Take-off software etc.

 

Required Experience

  • Should have minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in all Pre and Post Contract project management related to low rise and high-rise Building design and construction especially from Consultant side.
  • Should be able to prepare estimates for different design phases of projects.
  • Should have performed measurements for different building architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing elements in accordance with applicable Standard method of Measurement. 
  • Should be able to prepare Bill of Quantities independently and assist the Head QS/Senior QS post tender evaluation and reporting. 
  • Should be able to prepare post contract cost variations, valuation of contractor’s application for payment, certification of contractor’s monthly payments etc.
  • Good communicator, team player and ability to work under pressure.

Planner/Engineer

Qualification 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline, preferably Civil or Mechanical
  • Any professional qualification like PMP or PSP will be considered advantageous 

Job Description

  • Monitor the consultancy projects in coordination with the Project Managers for post contract and pre contract jobs.
  • Create, maintain, pre-contract design schedules and plans.
  • Review and administer Contractors schedules and plans.
  • Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
  • Present information for meetings and assist in preparing the MOM.
  • Produce tender plans to support bids.
  • Prepare monthly progress report for Pre & Post Contract Projects
  • Will be responsible for getting updates & keep Risk Register. Also, he should continuously update the PM with any corrective action
  • Should maintain the event records to prepare Extension of Time – EOT later on
  • Should be able to advice any feasible change in scope needs to evaluate the resources, time, etc. & raises it to the concern
  • Should be good enough to prepare presentable related S Curves like for Earned Value Analysis, can analyze SPI-Schedule Performance Index, CPI-Cost performance Indicators, Cost Variance, Schedule Variance, Progress Measurement System and so on as per requirements
  • Should prepare Invoice or to review according to contractual project requirements.
  • Will be responsible for preparing & maintain lessons learned throughout the whole project.
  • Will be responsible to estimate a timescale for a project and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met.
  • Will work closely with Site Managers and other Engineers to ensure a project runs on schedule and that material supplies are sufficient.

  • Primavera P6 – versatile user
  • MS Project – knowledge
  • MS Office – versatile user
  • AutoCAD – knowledge
  • Revit – knowledge 

Experience

  • Between 5 to 8 years hands-on experience
  • Should be able to do continuous tracking of the projects & can prepare required reports as per contracts
  • Should have knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel for data visualization if required & Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations
  • Should be able to prepare as well as review MOM and follow-up with the concerned stakeholders
